Anyone ever offer something like this? I have several thousand old (1960's) shotgun primers, pretty sure they're 97s going by memory. Don't really have a use for them, don't foresee reloading shotgun, and doubt anyone will trade for them.

Stupid answer of the week(?)

If you have an ill favored 22 revolver you could probably make one with a little machining of the cylinder and welding the barrel shut. Probably would want to paint the muzzle orange. Not sure if it would work not having either in front of me though.

When I was young a dumb. I loaded 40 of those and a quarter of a 35mm film case full of BP. It was loader then I thought it would be. In all honesty I would use them for target practice w a bb/pellet rifle. Reactive targets are awesome.

I have an old .22 caliber starter pistol that could possibly be used to shoot primers. Might be able to modify the cylinder for shotgun primers since they have a rim.

Find a local range that does cowboy fast draw. Those are what they use to power their wax bullets in matches. They would welcome them I assure you. Or you could modify some spent brass in 44 or 45LC by drilling them to accept the primers yourself. To make wax rounds push the brass into some wax to get a projectile. I melt wax in a brownie pan to the thickness I want then let it cool. Then have fun.

Sounds like a good way to trash a young kids ears without ear protection. Primers are pretty loud by themselves and several thousand of them?

As in #209 primers, that modern inline muzzleloaders take? If so, sounds like a new front-stuffer might be in your future.

Same size as 209s. No real need or interest for an inline. I actually have an old mec shotgun press somewhere and fiber wads from the same era. I guess I could try loading but shot is crazy expensive now and I don't shoot shotgun much. And I don't really need a new reloading hobby. I don't have time enough to load what I need for my pistols and rifles.

I have a few thousand Hilti blanks in .27 caliber. I've been meaning to get a single shot .22 and and bore the breech for them. I'm thinking that .22 pellets might hit 3000fps but I could be wrong.

Since they're the same size as 209s, should be plenty - if the price is right

:(I read it wrong, thought they were implying.....if you buy our starter pistol, your mangy Hienz57 dog can be a champion like our dog!
