These new VZ 58s are in the factory box, have the curving, black plastic stocks which apparently are the same shape as the older, reddish “beaver—“ stocks. As seen on Gunbroker "Buy Now", which was the source.
The stocks are conventional-- Not Tactical.

My Czechpoint 58 is now shipping.
Curious, simply because Nut 'N Fancy and several people mention the 'slap' with the traditional "beaver barf", but also the newer plastic stock with the same shape.

On my SAR-1, it's Not the recoil which causes it, but the forward reaction immed. After the recoil, and not using the proper hold--right behind the receiver.. If this somehow is common (on new Czech.VZ-58s), I'll bring a soft plastic layer for the buttstock at the shooting club, and later consider a different stock.

That's not the same butt stock as the new Czechpoint VZ-58. Cool-looking guns, however.

As described in the first remarks, the butt stock (still being shipped) has the classic type of stock shape, made of black plastic instead of the reddish wood/plastic "beaver barf", which are very familiar to VZ enthusiasts.
Maybe I should elaborate a bit more.....

Has anybody tried the VZ-58s which have the conventional, fixed stocks (Non-tactical), as now sold by Czechpoint, and my Gunbroker seller?

A guy at the Original CZ Forums said that he's never heard of this in any VZ 58 or 2008.
