Rifle season starts here in VA tomorrow, too. My (then) 9YO son went a couple of days with me last year, just to see what it is like. He is going with me tomorrow, carrying his PawPaw's RAR in 7.62x39, and gets first shot at anything we see. He got to try shooting it from hunting positions a couple of weeks ago, and is very excited. Ran out last night to get him a new jacket and boots. Weather should be good. So I am looking forward to tomorrow, and hope you all have a good time as well!

New York rifle season opens here in an hour &forty five minutes. Like a kid on christmas eve,
been up for an hour already waiting. At 61 I still have that thrill on opening day.

Kansas is so freaking dumb with their firearm season. Missouri starts today, Nebraska starts today. Guess when Kansas starts, DEC 4TH!! It's like they love all of our cars and trucks being destroyed by these pests. Literally the high ways are littered with deer corpses this time of year. So much wasted meat. Really makes me angry at how dumb the management is here. It's why I picked up bow hunting which I do enjoy but I HATE how Kansas does it .

Today is our 2nd day of rifle
My brother got a doe early this morning and my oldest son got a doe about an hour before dark.
