Ultrasonic brass cleaning solution question.

I've recently acquired an ultrasonic cleaning machine with the intent of cleaning gun parts, especially semi auto pistol barrels. Thinking about cleaning small runs of brass through the Ultrasonic.

I am aware that most over the counter Brass cleaning solutions are not the same as Gun Part solutions and should be used accordingly.

I wet tumble my brass. I already have a brass cleaning mix I like, which contains Armor All Wash and Wax.

Has anyone used or attempted to use AAWW as part of their ultrasonic brass cleaning solution?

I use a Citronox solution for cleaning my brass, but always wanted to try a Ballistol mix for rifle and pistol parts. From what I have read, it supposedly works good.

Since you already understand that it will not return polished brass, I would suggest Dawn dish-soap in filtered or distilled water.

Do NOT ever use Simple-Green, as good an idea as it may sound... the noxious fumes once that is heated will lay you low.

I use 1/2 tsp citric acid and 10-15 drops Dawn dishwashing soap in about 2.5L water for ~ 20 minutes. Cleans up brass nicely, but don't expect it to look as bright and shiny as new brass.

I use dawn dishwashing detergent but just tap water or well water. TSP works well too.

I use the heater and leave the cases in the bath for 3-4 hours, then rinse with water. One dilution is good for many batches (at least 8). It even scrubs out the primer pockets provided you decap the brass first.
