Letting Young Kids Help Reload?

As Sgt. Hulka said in the movie Stripes “Lighten up Francis.”

There was no harm done and I do find it humorous. I have learned not to get stressed out for such little things.

Just posting my opinion as asked by the OP. I've been reloading since 1974 now for about 30 different cartridges. I still wouldn't want a 2 year old around while reloading. It's not baby sitting time or play time. JMO ask asked. There isn't any harm done until something happens. A 2 yo around reloading. No thank you. Good luck to the OP.

Under guidance of our dad and grampa, we learned to shoot an pump air rifle before we were big enough to pump it or strong enough to aim it -- rested it on a ladder rung. As far as reloading, when they are curious, have them watch, at a safe distance, with protection.

Like said above, keep powder and primers locked and the key inaccessible.

But further, all ammo needs to be locked up, too. A curious kid will steal a cartridge, pull a bullet with pliers and a vice.
