Can anyone say for sure if Uberti is currently using the original Colt thread pitches on their pistols and screw kits?

I had read somewhere that they, Pedersoli... someone had started using the old Colt patterns again.

Todd.

Uberti and Pietta have used US/SAE threads (not metric) since both started using CNC machining ~2000. Prior to that, it depends upon the date code of the revolver. I have no knowledge of Pedersoli guns.

Thanks for that. Do you know if they approximate an original Colt?

I thought I might start with one of theirs as a replacement for a 1849 Pocket revolver.

I have no idea, but I would doubt that. You might contact Dixie Gun Works for more info.

Uberti/Pietta screws are fairly cheap, so you might contact VTI or Taylor's for a set of them for your revolver and try them. One never knows.

According to their contemporary advertising, ASM (both C&B and cartridge) parts interchanged with gen 1 Colts. I do not know if that included screws.
Just out of curiosity, I compared the screws on my 1974 2nd Generation Colt Peacemaker, ASM Peacemaker, and 2007 (Code CB) Uberti Peacemaker. All will interchange.

I don't know if Colt used the same screws in 2nd Generation guns as in 1st Generation.

Thanks for taking the time on that.
