Nope its as I stated its a (new model vaquero) NMV and not rated for Blackhawk type loads used in the Ruger OMV (old model vaquero)
Its stated right in the pamphlet included with the NMV's to not use heavy loads in it.

be aware that Ruger has done a run of Bisley Vaqueros in 45 colt recently with the SMALLER new Vaquero frame. The way to tell is the serial number. A two digit prefix denotes an old (bigger frame) model; a three digit prefix is a NMV (smaller) frame model.
The reason for switching frames had to do with CAS sports.
At the time Davidsons had a pretty good deal on the CAS NMV's and I bought it knowing its limitation.
Oops, sorry, I missed the "new model" text, and was going by the fact that the pic looks like my OM Vaquero that happily digests the same hot loads as my Blackhawk.

And to add to my original thought, possibly you could use a different calendar year to go with each picture, each one referencing the current year. Using 2021 as an example, January 1858 could show a Remington 58, February 1875 could feature a Colt SAA, and if you wanted to add 20th century double actions, March 1937 with a Registered Magnum.

I bet that you could sell a bunch of these calendars.

I like my .45s, too. Here's my .45ACP Vaquero and .45-70 BFR-

My new Carryhawk (I don't know about anybody else, but I'm pissed about the longer than advertised barrel, never mind it came with the wrong grips and rear sight blade, too:cuss:)-

Those Ruger vaquero birds heads are funky for sure.

But I bought it for carrying not being pretty.

Companies make some really attractive grips for the birdhead.

I think for now it stays stock.
Its kinda like putting chrome hubcaps on your farm truck.
What's wrong with chrome hubcaps on a farm truck? They're the perfect compliment to the supercharged 355 in my farm truck!

I tend to prefer S&W double actions in 45 ACP but I do have a couple of clone Single Actions that started out chambered for the long Colt cartridge. The are now fitted with ACP cylinders. I also have a pair of 1860s converted with the Richards patents and chambered in 44 Colt. These are also Italian and have been modernized with a 43 caliber bore.

But my 22-4 is one of my favorites.

Max, you didn't say anything about how those little (lol) gold and silver colored BBs are loaded. I'll bet it's interesting, and inquiring minds want to know. (smile)

"I like my .45s.............."

I like your 45s too Bob. I've got some 45 acps, and a 460 magnum, but now SAAs yet. Some day though...……………… some day. Might be my retirement gift.

Hi Bob

I like my 45s too.

Open carry is not exactly illegal in MASS, but you can bet if you are seen walking down the street heeled anywhere in MASS you will wind up having a conversation with an officer of the law.

Here is a photo of me with my pal WIld Bill Blackerby taken during lunch at a CAS match a bunch of years ago. That's me with the coffee, and my unmatched pair of 2nd Gen Colts.

My 4 3/4" Colt is not quite so visible in this photo.

This is the Duke rig I have been wearing forever in CAS. This is my 7 1/2" Colt that I wear on my left side, butt forward.

This is my 4 3/4" Colt that I wear on the 'strong side'.
