Oops, sorry, I missed the "new model" text, and was going by the fact that the pic looks like my OM Vaquero that happily digests the same hot loads as my Blackhawk.Nope its as I stated its a (new model vaquero) NMV and not rated for Blackhawk type loads used in the Ruger OMV (old model vaquero)
Its stated right in the pamphlet included with the NMV's to not use heavy loads in it.
be aware that Ruger has done a run of Bisley Vaqueros in 45 colt recently with the SMALLER new Vaquero frame. The way to tell is the serial number. A two digit prefix denotes an old (bigger frame) model; a three digit prefix is a NMV (smaller) frame model.
The reason for switching frames had to do with CAS sports.
At the time Davidsons had a pretty good deal on the CAS NMV's and I bought it knowing its limitation.
