maybe some of us have a few surplus pistols chambered in 9x18 and is swimming in 9x18 ammo. I bought all mine back when it was cheaper then 9x19.

In addition to the post above, I will add that part of the "hobby" part of gun ownership is satisfying our curiosity and even imagination. I currently have over 200 handguns for various reasons but mostly for fun at the range and the history. There is nothing within me that feels like I have to justify what I buy or shoot.

When it comes to a carry weapon, different criteria I want a solid reliable tool.

Is it realistic to tool up for a new caliber just because just a few enthusiasts stockpiled that caliber years ago?

Maybe, as Lone Wolf is making 9x18 conversion barrels for LC380's and Glock 42's. Personally, I'm baffled.

Most people complain that a 380 is not "enough"
Many people complain that the 9mm is barely enough

So what will the 9x18 folks say?:what:

I can not say for all 9x18 folk, but i do say, that it will do its job, like 9x19, S&W, 357 SIG, 45 ACP, 380 ACP, and 10MM.

Its all about shot placement. I never fallen into the great caliber wars. They all work with modern HP rounds.

I have seen one shot from a 9x18 used on a 165ish pound deer. It worked very well. I would have not problem carrying a reliable and accurate pistol in 9x18 or even 380.
