I got two calls from Eric Rohrbaugh last week. Wolf had finished the recoil springs and they were delivered on Thursday. They were to shoot the piss out of the gun over the weekend. That was part of the delay, getting the springs right. Wolf used a .038" wire and the gun grew to 5.002" as a result.

The barrel didn't help matters either. They were originally from Shielen, but that got too expensive, so they bought a barrel machine from Germany and now produce them in house.

Assembly begins the end of this week. There is still some machining to be done on the front of the slides to add the taper.

It looks like the pistol will be California approved as well. The lab that is doing the testing is approved by the state of Ca. to test their guns and the single set of test results can be submitted to Ca. to approve the gun for sale.

They should start shipping around the 12-15 of Oct. Mine is the first one off the assembly line that is being released to the public, Karl Rohrbaugh is keeping the first 100 for himself, so mine should be number 101. I have had my order in since Feb 4, 2002, but I still don't know what it is going to cost me. Best thing is that I get mine 8 days before Massad Ayoob gets his, but his gets hand delivered by Karl, mine is shipped. I guess living 1500 miles further away doesn't help matters much.

Mine is going off to Lou Alessi for holsters once I shoot it some. I was asked to write an article on it, including pictures of the gun and holsters. When I find the web address where it will be posted I will let everyone know.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be sure to share the good, the bad... and the ugly if anything is ugly. Temptation with a long-awaited purchase like this might be to hide any problems... we want to hear it all!

...even if you ARE a Rohrbaugh cult member.

I hope for your sake that these aren't the future DeLorean of the gun world. There's been so much hype...

They honestly do look hot and hopefully they'll continue to follow the recent trend of compact, reliable, high power pistolas.

I have no doubts that you'll keep us in the know ;)

This is great news, I have put off buying the pm9 kahr just waiting to see how this little jewel turns out, can't wait for the first reports!!! :D ....tom
