In my quest to clean this firearm, I have run into another problem. The firing pin will not come out.

I have removed all the pins, the extractor and ejector spring. There sits the firing pin. It will not slide out.

I have sprayed the bolt with penetrating oil, concentrating on the firing pin. I then used degreaser spray. The pin won't come out. It will move and turn but it won't slide out.

Any ideas? It is was manufactured in 1908

think they have a firing pin stop pin, the old ones do. if you removed it - possibly tap the head of the firing pin with a small brass punch lightly to see if it comes out. if anyone ever dry fired that much, it peens the pin and could just be stuck a little and need a bit of motivation to come out. on one other older firearms, when I cleaned it up good - not that model, but I found a good 1/4 inch piece of an old patch that someone who knows how many years earlier hand left in the firing pin channel - and the pin was stuck to it and didn't want to come out. I dripped some solvent in there and let it sit for a few days, once it softened up the pin came out easy enough.

film495,
I was successful in removing the pin. As you suggested, I let the bolt sit for sometime saturated with solvent. I then used some "motivation" to get the pin out. I went from inside of the bolt with a small brass punch and was able to tap out the pin.

Thanks for you insight and help
