I am looking for a good set of screwdrivers for my marlin 1895. I want to get a set of Grace screwdrivers but every set I can find is for the 336. Before I order them, can anyone tell me if the 336 set will work on other Marlin's or do I need to find a different set? Thanks!

I use the same exact Brownells bits when working on 336s and my 444. Haven’t needed to take apart an 1895 yet.

I would say yes that Marlin 336 drivers will work for an 1895. I wouldn’t trust how somebody else decides what screwdriver fits which screw though. So I would still be leery of the 336 set.

I'd go with the suggestion involving the Magna-Tip bits from Brownells. I use the sets I have almost daily and I've not buggered up a screw slot, ever. They will sell single bits that will fit any size screw slot that can be found, for slot width and slot length. These bits are heat-treated properly, after they have been shaped properly, so the bits are done very professionally. When grinding on any screwdriver bit, caution must be adhered to, to not remove the temper involved with that particular bit being ground by getting it too hot.
