I have a Marlin 1893 rifle in .38-55 and lust for a carbine like yours. If you ever want... Probably you never will, and that's a good choice.

Well went and shot them a couple weeks ago...........my eyes.are to old for irons. Both rifles functioned fine and I was able to hit the paper at 50 yrds shooting offhand. But man I could barely pick up the front sight. Sadly they will probably spend their days as safe queens.
