Black powder and Pyrodex

For range use, I'd go with about 15 grains of 3F, followed by 50 grains of Pyrodex. That should get it going.

Pyrodex is fine for showing the kids how fast black powder burns. From experience, it is fast enough to take your eyebrows (well, my face was warm, even though the hair was still there). Wouldn't put it down a barrel for money, though. Principle of the thing...
