Apply grease to the sears & pin holes of the fire control group before assembly. It'll go a long way toward smoothing out the pull. Clean & dry the parts first.

I dip all pins in AeroShell grease before installation. May sound odd but it helps keep them semi-secured in the pockets of roll pin starter punches and since it’s metal on metal contact (pins to receiver) I figure it can’t hurt. I also dab a light coating of oil on all springs. The receiver extension and muzzle threads get a dab of anti-seize.
