Sks, loose gas tube

I’ve noticed with my Sks that I can wiggle the top guard on the Sks and realized that it’s actually the gas tube moving. Is there supposed to be a o ring on the part that’s attached to the barrel? I see a grove there but no o ring.

Are you asking if it should have a ring like most AKs have?
Typically the SKS doesn't have anything. The wiggle shouldn't be a problem unless it's excessive.

While installing the gas tube does it go on firmly, or slip on without any rubbing on the sight block?
If you aren't having any operating problems like short stroking or ejection issues I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes, don’t worry about it. But if your loosing sleep over it, I have made an o ring from a paper clip to tighten that area up before.
