Springfield Saint 308 YA or NAY ?

You should look at some of the new ones they are coming out with. The Saint Victor pistol looks really cool. I'd prefer a slightly longer barrel but it is tempting.

I like SA, and while I don't own one of their ARs, I like the quality of their firearms. Never needed their warranty, but hear it is good.

That one looks terrible

I recall that post. I feel bad for the poster as it seemed clear he got a bad one. I own the same .308 Saint Victor and mine has been very good and I have had no problems with it.

All manufacturers do put out occasional lemons. For a long time (maybe still) Colt has been the go-to "mil spec" AR-15, and I heard a reputable story of a man whose Colt jammed on him because the gas key on the bolt carrier had loosened.

This was a soldier in Iraq and his weapon was the army issued M-4 carbine, select fire, supposedly the "cream of the cream."

Nothing is perfect. My mother drove a Mercedes car. It had things go bad that had to be fixed so ......

I can't imaging a use for a .308 pistol. . . other than annoying everyone inside 200 yards with obscene muzzle blast. It's a great rifle cartridge, but it's less than ideal as a PDW/SBR cartridge.

And once you're on a .308 rifle, build one on a PSA kit. Upgrade barrel or trigger if you want, and go shoot.
