If you ever just put an extra mag in your pocket, you can keep it clean by simply sliding it into a reading glasses or other soft glasses pouch, pics below.

There is, or was a Youtube video of two thugs suddenly pulling handguns out inside a pawnshop.

The lady employee exchanged gunfire with them, as she stood upright. Talk about women with balls!

The other staff guys were so fat that they couldn't pull their handguns from their Very tight jean pockets, as they lay on the floor behind a different counter.

The woman didn't seem to be injured as she saved the men.

I recall that video, certainly pointed out an issue with pocket carry when you are eating carpet!

I’ve recovered from back problems enough that my back doesn’t bother me, but not enough to carry IWB or OWB for more than 30 minutes or so. Pocket carry is my only option for now. It has it’s downsides, but also it’s benefits such as being able to discretely have your hand on your gun.

True, if you see the threat coming.

Or you walk with a hand on your gun 100% of the time.

Cool idea OP, I do occasionally do the spare mag in the pocket thing, this might be a handy trick if I don't feel like bothering with a neomag

Another tip for pocket carry, untucked shirt helps break outline on pocket and conceals the pistol thats IWB.
2nd option pocket gun in weak hand front pocket, option to have hand on it without revealing carry and can quickly access with weak hand.
Preferred primary pistol is IWB.

I'd love to know what guns they were pocket carrying. I'm going to arbitrarily guess a single stack 9mm like a Glock 43 or a Shield. Far too many people think that just because a gun will fit in a pocket means it's a pocket carry gun. What they don't realize is in the heat of the moment, with your mitts wrapped around the grip, it becomes a Chinese finger trap and the harder you pull the more your hand (and gun) gets stuck!

I just use an IWB mag holster. This one is by Vedder. Sometimes I wear it IWB, often I just keep it in my pocket.

It holds it in the same place and it’s orientation is always the right way. It doesn’t slop around where it’s upside down or anything when you need it.

Fairly certain it was claimed they had snubbies, but it was a number of years ago.

I believe the video was on the active self defense YouTube channel, if you feel like digging.

Cargo pockets are my preference for carry. You can reach them sitting down. They're much easier to draw from than a hip pocket. If you choose the shorts or pants properly, your hand will naturally hang right where the pocket it.

The pocket holster has to be large enough that it can't rotate inside the pocket. The handgun has to be light enough that your shorts don't swing oddly, as if there was a big piece of metal in your pocket.

That has been my primary carry method for several years now, almost always with my LCR. My friend tried it just once with his LCR, and now it's his primary method also.

I only pocket carry when wearing a coat or jacket. I find having a gun in my front or back pocket uncomfortable. I also know that for me I can draw from my IWB or OWB holsters much faster than I can from a pocket holster in my pants. On the other hand I can draw from a jacket pocket with good speed.

If I am taking the dog for a walk and know for a fact that I won't be sitting down, I will sometimes carry a j-frame snub in a back pocket.

I don't want to sit on one, but it is a much easier draw than from a hip pocket, and fits a j-frame very well.

One more tip: back pocket. Then you can get to it with either hand, even when sitting.

This is how I carry my P3AT in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster. For me it works as I can quickly get to it if needed and it's now printing in my front pocket. Plus when sitting down nothing is easily coming out of a front pocket. I usually don't think to much about it unless I sit weird and I can feel the gun.

Saw it and kinda surprising..I've only been in 3 pawn shops(2 in Denver, one in Milwaukee)..all sold guns and all the people working there were open carrying..like the gun shop dudes do..

My 'hat is off' to those who have large enough pockets to carry in one.

The IWB Remora (it has no clip) is my artificial version, so to speak.
Very adjustable.

key here is small enough gun and right holster and pants. I use to carry a pf9 in my jeans pocket. too big so no fast draw happening. later tried a p365. both too big. now my p238 and p32 no issue and i can draw faster than many with a full size iwb could.

9MMS and larger caliber pocket pistols are tough to pocket carry unless big pockets and such.
