Fine tuning the sighting in of my .458 Win Mag off the bench was interesting. I forgot to bring something to put under my right elbow and the concrete bench ate it for lunch.

When I shot a pig with it in the field (on one knee using a shooting stick) I never felt the recoil.

Borderline 454 loads in my 45 Blackhawk with stock grips will give you hand/wrist nerve damage.

265gr Hornady JSP's... IIRC, loaded according to data labeled "RUGER AND T/C ONLY"... in a .44magnum SuperBlackhawk. I don't remember which powder or what the charge weight was, but it was too much.

..............."Katarina Vikor". Some of the ancient Viking spirit survived.

Mauser in .458 Win Mag. She doesn't seem muscular, even though she can climb a mountain by a fjord.

Off the subject, but Norwegians (based on her videos in 2017 etc) can Own and Shoot semi-auto rifles such as Mini 14s, M-1 Garands and others.
This might be difficult to believe over here, regarding several EuroZone countries, with internet hearsay being the foundation for much of the common 'truth'.

Have y'all tried decaf? 7.5grs Unique under a 240grSWC or 250gr Keith bullet?
I shoot that from my .44 special gp100, its a fantastic loading.

I shoot 24gr of h110 behind the same bullets from my SBH, and like that just as well.

I ran 230s at 1250 from my modified xd45 Tac, and found that pretty miserable. Trigger nibbled at my finger, and the gun squirmed around and smashed my knuckles......But MAN that fireball and impact were impressive.
I had forgotten about that one....

I had an 8.5 pound Shultz and Larsen .378 Weatherby that I fired less than 40 rounds in the 20 years I owned it, uh NO thanks !
Recently got my grail Models 70s in a package deal : a .375 H&H Supergrade and a .458 WM African both from the late 50s . I shot them both of course and they were not THAT bad , both had Iron sights so were relatively light for caliber. Gave the .458 to my gun enthusiast Dr. son and kept the .375 , for now. I'm 74 :(
I started out when I was 18 buying a $100 20mm Lahti in NEW JERSEY , and selling it for 3x more soon after using it once in a sand pit, everything has been down hill in recoil since then :)
I had a .470 Nitro SXS in the 80s-90s , Fired it less than 50 times, about like a 12 gauge mag duck loads FWIW, never went to africa with it :( sold it for profit before I cracked the stock like old guns like that do !
I still have a 10 gauge 3.5" 20" barreled Spanish gun loaded with 54 #4 Buck per chamber . I last shot it when I blasted a coyote at 35 yards coming out of my old chicken barn - awesome . That was 10 years ago Middle gun of course

First time I shot a box of 3.5" 12 GA thru my new that day mossberg 835 pump. The last five were rapid fire and didn't completely recover from the recoil between shot 4 and 5. Stock wasn't in the pocket; man I was sore the next day. It does help with the back to switch shoulders every box of 338wm. First time I ever had BOTH shoulders hurting me from a range day...

Those 835's are fun guns. Mine has an extender on the magazine tube. Holds 7+1 on 2.75in shells & 4+1 on the 3.5 inches. The extra weight does help tame some of the recoil.

I sold it off years ago after a buddy fell in love with it. Mine didn't really like 2 3/4" shells but my buddy runs 3 inchers in it and has no problems. If it's gotta be 3.5" I want a 10 GA...

Quite a few years ago, a buddy of mine inherited a British made double in the 600 Nitro Express, and about a half dozen shells. Well at the time we were young and dumb and decided we'd take it out in the AZ. desert and perforate a 55 gallon drum. My buddy shot the first round, now he was 6'6" and about 250#s, and decided after just one round he'd let me shoot the second round at the drum. His first I believe went over it. So there I was 5'10" 180#s already to shoot the second round, and after squeezing off the round, I genuinely thought my neck, shoulder, and chest, landed in the next county. BTW I did hit the drum, but that was the last round that was put thru that rifle. Shortly thereafter, I had a heck of a time just shooting a .22LR without flinching. To this day I believe he still has that rifle, and the 4 rounds that were left over: The rifle had been used for an elephant hunt in Africa somewhere, but I can't imagine anyone accurately shooting something like that after the initial sighting in.

:what:teeter inverter:what:...pictures please.

Here ya go. link

I've had one for several years. Recommended by family and co-workers that have had them for years before that. Costs about as much as a couple of doctor's visits, but you get to keep the machine and use it whenever you need it. Still recommended to do daily stretches to keep back pain away, though. :)
