03a3 front sight

Hi shooters. I am in need of instructions on how to remove the front sight on my Smith-corona 03a3. Any shooters out there with some advice.

Do you want to replace just the blade, or the whole thing? Each is held on by one of two pins. I've never tried it, but I imagine all you have to do is tap out the pin (left-to-right) with the appropriate sized punch.

It is pretty straight forward. There is a pin that holds the blade in and another which holds the base on the barrel. To remove the blade use a pin punch and remove the blade pin then pull blade up/out. To remove the base use a pin punch and drive out the base pin. The base is keyed to the barrel. Once the pin is removed using a hammer and block of wood or something like that so as not to damage the base, drive the base off the barrel. Then remove key from key seat in barrel.
