M855A1 is longer than M855
M855 left, M855A1 right.
According to Wiki (yeah I know the source of all the crap knowledge) says its 3.2mm longer. So that would make it ~26.2 mm long.

Why does it look like a whole bunch of stuff was redacted from that drawing?

Nothing actually has been redacted, just the stuff not necessary for a thumbnail ballistic model is there-
the metaplat, ogive, ogive tangent point, boattail angle and length and the overall length, but it is missing an important piece of information, the location of the CG.
Generally these are dimensionless based on the caliber so they scale (within reason, don't expect c = 16" to behave quite the same as c = .308" or .224")
