A2 Buttstock Only

Looking for just the stock not a kit, and since I am being dense not seeming to find one.
Any suggestions?

(and yes that's what I want in CA so things are weird here)
 
CA "approved" Hammerhead grip. Can't have a pistol grip you can wrap your fingers around or it is an Assault rifle.....
No flash hider or or threaded barrel or it is an Assault rifle...

I need to take a little off the stock for clearance but wanted a spare on hand.

I'm sure the gang bangers and cartel people in CA growing dope changed theirs.

Once I retire and move to a free state I can but it back the way it belongs.
(assuming there are any free states left by the time I retire)

I was beginning to feel trapped in the Twilight Zone myself trying to hunt one down sans kit. Seems they’re very popular (sold out) or unpopular and no one sells them. Wishing you well out there on the coast.

Ya I know what your going through, new York myself. I like the thordsen stocks, I may try one of them grips, but ny won't say what's really allowed. I have nerve damage in my right had and the thrdsen feels best to me so fare. I just wish we could have the threaded barrel, so many more options then.
 
Need to look into the Thordson.
It's been"fixed" (read broken) for quite a while now. (did it back whenever I had too, made it Legal but not really usable)
Been busy and since I have a Mini 14 as well it was not a priority, but now I am trying to work on something to make it better in it's "fixed" CA condition.....
 
Ca compliant or not, I like the A2 stocks. They feel solid and I like that. If you do run an A2 with a sling, I recommend using this blue force gear top sling point adapter. The traditional point underneath makes your rifle want to turn over. The top mount with the vickers sling allows it to stay properly oriented when slung

Don't you also have to use a riffle buffer tube and buffer? One without the adjustable groove

It already has an A2 stock, I want a spare so I can try to remove a bit from it what would be right behind the pistol grip. (if I still had the pistol grip I wouldn't need to do this but pistol grips have been determined to be "evil" in CA....)
 
@Dudedog - I may not be picturing your intended modification correctly, but it’s not possible - or not much so at least - to modify the bottom edge of the front end of an A2 stock. The front of the stock is what keys into the receiver to prevent rotation of the stock.

Im assuming this is what your basically building....
Im also assuming your trying to get a slightly shorter lop.
Does that fin follow the contour of the stock pretty close, and maybe a a1 stock?
