new to me early 1950s Ithaca 37 featherwieght. I am a 54 model! beautiful straight walnut. checkered buttstock, (hard butt plate, lol) corn cob forend. no nicks in wood or metal. slight wear on muzzle, some on slide arm. 2 3/4 gun, plain barrel, but what the heck looks nice in between the flat rib mod 12 and the 97! dc.
hope to hold on to this one, the other 4 I had slipped away on me...

Always wanted one. Never owned one. Have shot the ones owned by friends. Saw a nice one on a table at a gun show a couple years ago with a decent price on it. Forced myself to walk away. 10 minutes later I changed my mind and walked back to find it sold. One of my buddies that had one was left handed.... Guess why he loved them.

Diesel... Here's my very simple routine to be able to post photos... I use a simple program (paint) to reduce the pic to an 800 x 600 format, then store it in my photo files... Then go to Imgur.com and download it from my computer to their site... Once it's on Imgur, simply copy and paste it on any entry you're making onto any site and you're done... Here's a sample pic...

Since almost all of my photos (99.9%) are fishing related I had to hunt a bit for something weapons related...

She's a beauty. Congratulations!
I discovered M37s late in life, but really enjoy shooting an early 50s 20ga featherlight with a polychoke at pheasants and grouse. Nowhere near as pretty as yours but the best $220 I ever spent.

Beautiful! I had one from that era that had a Cutts on it; ended up giving it to a friend for a wedding present. (Her ex took his HD shotgun with him when he left) My current one is form the 70's, wears plastic furniture and an 18" barrel (came that way) for HD.
