Question for Uberti Stallion owners

I have a Stallion 22/22 mag. I found a problem on the hammer that got my attention. On the face of the hammer (the part facing the front) has a indentation that lines up with the firing pin in the frame. the hammer is case hardened and the indent is shiny. I've run about 500 rounds thru it with no FTF. I cant find any GS in my area that has one to compare with. My fear is it is a soft hammer and the indent will get deeper till it will FTF. Any thoughts.

I would like to hear from someone who owns or has access to a Stallion to confirm my suspitions before I go to Uberti.
