They would be incredibly easy to shoot in a Redhawk and if they hit point of aim - go for it.

Assuming you mean the 200 grain Barnes Tac-XP round:

I am sure they would be effective. I would not hesitate to use them for defense. My only concern is overpenetration. If the OP shares that concern for his individual situation, a more lightly constructed bullet may be a better choice for him.

You’ll be well protected with those .44 Spl. loads if you place some in a vital area of a crook who is threatening you or your loved ones,
