Carnauba wax over paste wax?

i finished a stock with Johnson’s paste wax as the last step. It’s alright but I might like a bit more sheen. Carnauba wax should do the trick, any issues with using carnauba wax over paste wax?

Should I strip the current wax finish? I would prefer not to
