The gun arrived today and I have to say, I sure hope it shoots as good as it looks! I'm very impressed with the gun. That HS Precision stock is fantastic for a synthetic stock. Certainly not cheap or flimsy feeling in any way. The barrel has ample room all around all the way back to the action and is free floated a good deal more than heavy cardstock paper that I used. I was also a little leery of the HACT trigger. I'm really not a fan of two stage triggers, but aside from the first stage, the second stage is probably one of the best triggers I've seen on a production hunting rifle. It really does snap like a glass rod breaking. It measured 2.5lbs right out of the box and I saw that's dang good in my book. The action is pretty smooth and the metal work and finish is very nicely done. It's definitely not as light as your typical hollow-stock synthetic rifle from all the other brands. This gun has a nice heft and there is zero impression that this is a "cheap" or "budget" rifle. I think about the only negative thing I can say is that the recoil pad has very little give or flex. I'm glad I didn't opt for anything bigger than the 6.5CM. Right now I'm waiting on a set of Talley mounts that should be delivered tomorrow and then I'll mount up the Vortex 4-12x44 that I got for it. I'm excited that I might have finally found my "all season" hunting rifle. I'll be posting some photos tomorrow after I get the scope mounted.
