Bud’s doesn’t have any 40 caliber Taurus pistols in stock. You know guns are getting hard to find when even those are sold out.
I wished this area had that problem. The only guns not getting the love in his shop are revolvers, but most of what he has are older, collector type, or higher end stuff like the older Colts and S&W.
That’s probably a combination of their remote location and their somewhat higher than average prices. I know I rarely go out there just because it’s so far out of the way.The only local place I’ve visited in the past month that doesn’t show signs of being cleaned out is Knob Creek Gun Range. The glass display cases were still full as well as the walls behind the counter. Ammo selection looked good too. Of course it was so busy the day I went I couldn’t get near a counter to buy anything anyway. The cupboard may be bare now though!
IME this is par for the course at pawn shops since the beginning of time.Stopped by a pawn shop today. They had a well used Ruger Standard for $469.00! Prices on other handguns were as much as new. This is in Salem, Or.

Well. I wish I had bought a 92FS or PT92 when they were available. I kept looking/waiting for either a $400 used one or a sub $500 new one. Now all I can find are the newest "" series with the straight back strap grip.
I'm just back from Sportsman's Warehouse a few minutes ago. No 22LR. No 9mm. No 223/556. TONS of 10MM and a LOT of 40SW. A few 12 ga slugs. NO buckshot. LOTS of waterfowl steel and upland bird ammo. Guns: LOTS of duck hunting shotguns. ONE flat top AR. A few Henry lever 22s. About their normal stock of revolvers. Only the very highest end 9mm were left. Quite a few guns in 380.
The other thing that took me aback and confused me somewhat was that their gun cleaning/maintenance section had been hit hard. Is their now a run on that stuff, too?
