Hello THR

This is a quick overview of the new rifle i got. It’s a Remington 700 ADL TACTICAL in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 24” heavy and threaded barrel for comp or suppressor.

The FDE Varmint/Tactical stock allows the barrel to be free-floating (this is a hit or miss with this type of budget stocks).

The trigger is a X-pro but somewhat different, because it doesn’t have the adjustments screw in the trigger. It has it on the assembly, however at 3.2 to 3.5lb I’m happy with that for now.

It came with a one piece 20 MOA rail mounted from the factory but the screws were all oiled so i toke it apart clean it and mounted them back up with loctite.

The scope is a 30mm Primary Arms 4-14x44 FFP with HUB ACSS Reticle.

Everything is resting on a Harris 6-9 bipod. A range report is coming as soon as possible. Im planning to do some 1000 yards shooting with this and possibly take it on a hunt depending how it performs at 100 yards.

I've had good luck with the cheap plastic stocks shooting just as well as the expensive ones. The key seems to be a very generous free float. Lots of room between stock and barrel will prevent them from touching no matter how flexible.

Looks good

I’m picking a lower set of scope rings, the ones i have now are High mounts and with the added 20 moa of the scope mount it feels a bit higher for me. Im going to try a low mount and medium to see what feels best this afternoon

I had an ADL in .223 about 6 or 7 years ago. it didnt shoot well, grouping was'nt great. i sold it and bought a Savage Axis in .223 REM and its very accurate. was able to get a double coyote out at about 150 yards or so with it. oh & i used the same scope, a Nikon Prostaff 3x - 9x -40 mm on both guns.

I hope yours does better, maybe they've improved, it being a tactile. best of luck!
