Yesterday, bought a Miroku made Winchester 1873 in .45 Colt. 26" barrel, octagonal, half-mag, pistol grip, checkered wood, color case hardened receiver, lever, forend cap, and buttplate.
When I got home and got it out of the box there was a certificate that said it was a limited edition of 1 of at most 101. I'm not exactly sure what it means .... only that many of the 1873 in exactly that configuration ... or extra care taken with fitting? Wood?
Hey, question for owners of Miroku made toggle-link Winnies; I now have two, the above and a 1866 rifle. Have any of you noticed the elevator, aka the lifter, has the right rear edge rounded down a bit? I assume it is to cause the ejection pattern to go to the right?
Have all Miroku toggle-links rifles been made like this or is this new? Just curious here ....
