I got my 9mm P239 SAS Gen2 at a price I couldn’t refuse, it was LNIB when I got it. This and my P6 and my P228 are all some of my favorites.

Two excellent single stack pistols you've got there with the S&W Ladysmith and the SIG P239 SAS!

Every time I see guns like your Ladysmith I think about the S&Ws, like the Model 469 and the 669, I had and I feel somewhat nostalgic for those early compact 9mms. Yeah the DA trigger was a bit long and not all that crisp and the safety was a bit of a reach on the slide but the gun was reliable, accurate, and solidly built. Still miss them all but I have since replaced them with other decent compact pistols, like the Ruger SR9c and CZ P01, and I truly like what I have now.

I loved my P239 but stopped carrying it due to it being a 9mm.

I missed the gun though and I found a P239 in .357 with the .40 barrel. It was in very good condition but the night sights were dead, so I sent it to Sig to have them replaced and give it the once-over. Well worth the money too, as they replaced all the internal springs, cleaned it well, and replaced a bent guide rod.

I've shot both barrels but I bought it for .357 so that's how it's set up for EDC.

There's one for sale and you guys aren't helping. 6 bills. Whats the going rate in y'alls neck of the woods?

Obsolete now...

But still my primary carry gun...

Blasphemous!!! They're as obsolete as metal framed 1911s aka not at all! I wish Sig still supported them because it would be my carry gun. I don't mind the weight. I shoot this gun in 40 better than any of the polymer wonders on the market now. If I had to use a single single stack to go to war with and defend my life, I'd choose the P239 every time.

I recently bought a 40 cal version and really like it. I do need to change out the night sights which are long since burned out. Tried to change them out right after I got the pistol but the previous owner cemented those suckers in. Have not taken the time to apply heat to remove them yet. So, it is still on my fixit list with about 4 other weapons. I did pick up the new spring pack and installed it with no issues.

Mine is much more worn looking than the OP's though. It was stainless and was reblued which is showing the wear now.

Don't get me wrong, I love my 239 and carry it all the time.

I just recognize that on paper, it is not the latest hotness LOL

It's silly how accurate my P239 9mm is. Makes me look good!

Please pass along tips to find magazines. It's a really bad look for Sig to stop producing them. Heck, maybe in 20 years they'll bring them back like the P210.

The relatively new & improved Sig P365 is a decent gun that will definitely serve its intended purpose. But when I go to shoot one alongside my P239 and my P6, the not so dirty little secret is (IMHO) the new & improved Sig pistol just doesn’t shot as well as the old obsolete Sig pistols! And maybe it’s not supposed to, and that’s OK!
