I sold a Hk USPc .45 stainless recently that I acquired in a trade, and was looking for something new to purchase.

I was looking at the classifieds on another forum the other day, and found a gun that I has been on my want list for a long time. A user had a Sig P239 in 357 Sig, with a stainless steel slide and night sights. Comes with the blue box, manual, and 2 mags.

I picked it up for $625 shipped, which was a great deal. I haven't seen a factory chambered 357 Sig P239 stainless for sale anywhere in quite awhile, unless it was the SAS version, and then they wanted $900+ for it.

I also ordered a set of Hogue checkered tulipwood grips and SS hex grip screws, a Desantis Intruder IWB holster, four new 7 round factory Sig mags, and 100 rounds of Federal 357 Sig HST 125gr ammo as well.

I was happy to find the 357 Sig HST in stock somewhere for a decent price too. I ordered two boxes of it, and in the morning they were all sold out. This particular round has been pretty difficult to find. I got it for $29/50 round box.

The gun will be here on Wednesday, and I will post some pics then. I think it will look awesome with the tulipwood grips on it. It's pretty exciting finally getting a gun that you have wanted for a long time.

The 239 is an absolute winner in my opinion. I always laugh at those that complain it is too heavy or doesn't hold enough rounds. Thank God Sig didn't listen to twits on the errornet 20 years ago because the 239 is the perfect size. Small enough to conceal easily yet big enough to get a good grip with. If there is a more accurate and reliable pistol in the size and price range of the 239 I would be very surprised.

Nice looking SIG and those grips are like icing on the cake! Great find.

My Sig P239 came in .357sig. I added a .40s&w barrel and mags. It is a great shooter. Congrats on your scoring this pistol.

I agree with Rinspeed, Post #3. But I do wish there more holster options for leather, outside the waistband, vertical draw. Something similar to the Galco Avenger. I called Galco and they claimed "no one carries a 239 like that".

I've also wondered what the 239 would look like with a squared off trigger guard up front instead of the sloped front. I think it would be a practical improvement.

those grips are akin to Nills; beautiful & a great find at a really good price
mine left the factory as a 40 and i added 357 & 9mm bbls

been meaning to sell it for a year but just can't quite bring myself to list it.
for self defense carry and range fun it is one of the 5 best guns i've owned or shot.

oh, that's purdy!
I bought a used 239 in 9mm about a year ago and it has been on my hip everyday since!
I would love one in .357 Sig. My wife would kill me, but i really like that round. And from the little 239, thats some firepower.

I was gonna get some fancy wood grips for mine, but my slide is scratched a bit. Gonna save up for the Hogue G10.

congrats on a beautiful piece!

Excellent carry gun. SIG makes them good. I have the older P225 but that 239of yours is really sweet. Enjoy

It's about same size as S&W 908 which is ideal size for defensive CCW.

Going from an HK to a Sig is just so wrong! Still, congrats on picking up a pretty sweet gun. If I had to carry a crunchenticker for some reason I would probably choose Sig!;) Pretty decent DA trigger...something that I can't say for any of my HKs.
