Good afternoon, all.

I am looking for a reasonably priced Arcus 98dac (two-tone preferred) 9mm.

Growing up, my father had that pistol and a Browning 9mm Hi-Power that we always carried with us either hunting or just as a sidearm. However, in 2010, he committed suicide using the Arcus and I sold it as soon as I could. I didn't want to anything to do with that gun and got rid of it as quick as I could. Now, I'm looking to purchase another Arcus 98dac 9mm of my own. I loved how that gun shot and it was my main sidearm because he was in love with his Browning HP.

I have searched all over the internet to find one reasonably priced, but to no avail. I thought I would reach out to this community for any help.

I greatly appreciate it!

I have an arcus 98. worst trigger of any kinda hi power copies or clones. short in length and awkward. almost like trigger slap before it even fires. mine sits in the safe. not worth anything to sell it. terrible shooter trigger wise. heck I'm not even picky on triggers.

Interesting that I kinda forgot about those. About 6 or 7 years ago they were some of the better budget guns... Compared to the plethora of $300 great guns now.

I didn't every notice that they fell off the map. I'll keep my eye out and if I get a lead, I'll send ya something.

Don't forget there is the Turkish Hi Power clone out there as well

Yeah the Turkish Cline's, Tisas Regent BR9 all seems to be sold out everywhere. I'm hankering for the stainless version.

If you can't find the Arcus then maybe look into the FEG Hi Power Cline's.

My ARCUS 98 DA Full Size has decent trigger for a Hi Power, I have had maybe 5 Hi Power and clones, ARCUS shoots well and still have it! It is a well built clone. My FN licensed early FM Hi Power had stiff trigger and I sold it. I bought my ARCUS @ $250 maybe 15 yrs ago, I think it worth $350 today, at least I won't let it go less than that.

Here are a couple of pics of my two ARCUS 98's. One the full size and one the compact. Neither have given me any trouble. Now, I have not put more than 500 rounds thru either of them. The triggers are in the ballpark for a Hi Power. I got these about 10 years ago from Classic. I like collecting European weapons. Only weapons I have from Bulgaria.

i have just as many hi powers and clones as you, maybe a few more. I'd have to go and count. should clarify better as I'm not a word smith. when i said too short I meant too short from reciever to trigger guard. it creates a trigger slap feel pulling it and rubbing on the finger and it does trigger slap as well a bit when it resets. complete junk. the hi powers arent known for great triggers and the arcus makes them great triggers. it is the second worst trigger I've ever shot and I own a bunch and have shot even more. the worst is a hi point.

glad you got one ya like. mine is junk. poorly made and low quality and 2nd worst trigger I've ever shot and I have shot a whole bunch.

I have a stainless BR9. Shoots great and keeps my real high power from getting used and worn out......

Are you interested in selling one of them?

No, these are not on my sale list. You can find these around though. I just looked on GunBroker and a DAC was for sale. Ends in 3 days.
Understandable, it was worth asking. I appreciate your assistance! I'll head there right now.
