A short time ago I acquired an Arcus 94 Fullsize in a trade. Came with a couple of mags and was a fair trade. Upon recieving the gun I noticed the trigger had "stages"....2 or 3 of them before it broke. Interesting.......

It shot nicely, was accurate and reliable at the first shoot...but the trigger made flyers a common thing. Not good.

Being a "NEWBIE" :D to Hi Power Ownership.....I dropped the gun off at a local 1911/HP smith who is Way Reputable locally. They called and told me the sear was broken or chipped.
After trying a couple of BHP sears in it they came to the conclusion it needed an Arcus sear to make it perfect........The Browning/FN parts werent close enough to work. I guess they had a small problem with Century getting them parts and finally got a "gimme" out of them for being such a PITA! Hey, free is good! :D

So 5 weeks later I got a call......Your gun is ready!"......Xmas all over again.
These guys are pretty cool........"We have the highest prices in the state"..Thanks god we have the biggest discounts also" :D Kinda place.

So......."How much is the adventure gonna cost me?".............55$ out the door..............:what: :neener:

Labor to inspect, trial fit, inspect again, get the right part, stone it and assemble..............55$..........OK :D

Now for the best part.....its the cleanest SA trigger Ive shot next to my Custom CZ SA........very close Walt! Very close. Its around 4#'s with so little take up and overtravel its hard to find it and then Broken glass...

So I pack it up and take it for a test drive. The only range close was an outdoor range with a 25 yd pistol range. I had limited ammo......150 rnds of WWB to play with. From a bench rest it consistantly grouped around 2-3" when I did my part. Very Very nice........

The gun is NOT tight in the frame/slide but the barrel lockup is pretty good.
With a little tightening here and there, it would be an absolute heart breaker.

All in all Im very very impressed with it. It even has a new house to live in on my belt. Not to shabby for a very reasonably priced HP clone.

Sorry for the long post but I felt it was worth it. This is one of the softest shooting 9mm's Ive ever had in my hands. The worn recoil spring is the main reason.......but thats another post............:D

Shoot well. P1010006.jpg

I keep thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these , but it is just far enough from BHP sexy to put me off.

Very nice!

Tell me, where is it that you got the "triggerectomy?" Although I really like my HP's trigger, I would like to have a trigger job and see just how good it could be.

There's nothing like a formidable caliber that is soft shooting. :D I enjoy my HPs a lot, but the FEG with the ring hammer has a taste for flesh. Other than that, it's tough to find fault with them.

Thanks for the report. ;)

Hey I just came across this post! I don't know how I missed it. That's great to see you got the trigger worked out on it, Eric. So they said the sear was chipped huh? Well that would certainly explain that staginess. Even though I hardly ever shot it I miss this gun every now and then. These Arcus guns a great buys and I think everybody should pick one up.

Good trade partner! Take care, Heath

piling on...

...I picked up the DA/SA 98DAC last Christmas.

Nice little piece...has taken me a little while to get used to it, but it gets better every session. Doesn't like White Box, so I've been feeding it Fiocchi 123gr and Gecco 124gr and it's been purring along nicely.

I have the "Hogue Like" wraparounds on mine...fits my hand nicely.

Surprisingly, the mag's dropped free right out of the box...perhaps a difference in the DA/SA vs. the SA models? My trigger was pretty sweet right out of the box...nothing like my CZ-75 Transitional...but nothing else I own is.

A great value, and the KRD full caps work great (especially after "seasoning" for a few weeks in the safe).

Congrats on your Arcus94, I'm sure you'll love it as I do mine.

Best wishes and safe shooting,

CZ52'

I picked up an Arcus 94 from AIM a few weeks ago. I haven't shot it yet because the factory grips (with the finger grooves) are too small for my ham hands.

I just purchased some Pachmayr grips on ebay. Range report to follow the day after I receive them. :D
