I could not pass up this as new in Box with an extra magazine Mauser HSC Super (Model 80) , just got it and on the way back to my home I stopped at a lonely turnout off closed Hiway 199 and shot it a couple mags with the 100 round pack of .Winchester .380 ball the small Local gunstore that sold it for $375 had :) It ran flawlessly and was surprisingly stayed on a 1 gallon paint can at 15 yards. With the big beefy handle it hardly had that nasty .380 recoil I am used to in smaller pistols. The 15 round magazines are made by Mecgar so seem pretty good ! I like this gun and believe it will be a bedside gun , the one within hands reach, not the light equipped .45 High cap in the vest in the closet for outside problems, of course. :)
I read Float Pilot's love for his, extremely nicely built by Gamba in Italy in 1981 for Mauser. . Not really a pocket gun with the beefy grip and 3.5" barrel , and if I am CCW ing in a belt holster I'll take a bigger caliber thank you. But I really like this gun,it will find a niche, cheap enough to shoot, but .380 factory ammo is very hard to find right now !!!

Nice find!
Yes, Renato Gamba HSC Super are pretty easy to find here in Italy if you want one.

Nice handgun. I have mine on consignment for sale at a LGS since I seldom shoot it. Still, it has its attraction, and how many Mauser handguns can you find? Enjoy!

I have heard of this pistol before but did not realize they could have a 15 round mag. Not too often you find a 380 pistol with 15 (16) rounds on tap.

Gordon: very cool-looking Hsc you found.

cc-hangfire: myWW2 Hsc (non-matching) in .32 Auto is also on consignment.
The gun shop is in Cordova/Memphis TN.

Luckily .32 Auto ammo is easy to find in most local gun stores.

Nice HSc Super! Only came across one at a gun show many years ago but was impressed by how well built it was.

Those are sweet pistols! I love their fine lines.
Mine’s just a post-war HSc, single stack. It kicks with some authority, but still a hoot to shoot.
