I read one review when it was first released. The porting and price killed it for me. (I’m thinking $2600-2800?)

For $500-600 less I’d rather put my money into a Dan Wesson which I think is a better gun.

However, if you’re into flash the Kimber may be for you: not judging.

It's a beautiful hand gun but I have never liked Kimber. My brothers love Kimbers, I personally think that they are to tight which for me makes racking the slide a little harder. I'm a Springfield guy and just bought the TRP long slide. It's a lot less expensive too, was going to buy a DW but were out. It runs great.

Agreed. Local indoor range has one for rent and I've shot it (mostly to try a red dot) and I'd take a DW Bruin any or every day of the week. Even getting it milled for a dot is probably more cost effective.

I have a Kimber 10mm that was crazy tight. Sent it back to the factory and it is now completely reliable and a great shooter. I was disappointed to have to send it back but Kimber took care of it quickly.
A friend of mine recently purchased a DW chambered in 45. It's been perfect out of the box. Fit/finish is quite nice.
