Marines get Sig M18

I bought one of the 1st M17's available to the public and like it quite a bit. I want to add one of the M18's to my collection, but they started selling them just about the time the recent panic buying started. There was one available briefly in a local store, but I waited too late and someone else beat me to it. I really think I'll like the M18 better.

Bought one at the local bx, they had the blue version & the fde. I went fde because I had the nra version of the 365. I'm more than happy with it. Got about 300 flawless rounds thru it, would like to have more but with the current ammo situation I'm trying to conserve.

GOOD. The Marines deserve a better handgun. Friends I have in the regular army have praised the new Sig as a great sidearm and vast improvement over what they had before. My old command dropped the M9 in the mid-2000's and started replacing them with Glock 19's. When "big army" selected the Sig, my command elected to retain the G19, but the SIg will be issued to support personnel within that command.

I got this at the beginning of the rona. I also have the big brother. Both are great shooters.
From your pictures, it looks like the color mismatch between the slide and the grip module is finally being addressed. (Notice the visible difference in match between the M18 and the M17 in your pictures.)

Actually there is the shade difference between slides and grip module. The slides are darker than the module but the M17 picture definitely has some to do with the lighting. Side by side the guns look identical color wise. They are definitely 3 tone guns. :)

They are definitely 3 tone guns.
That's what I was afraid of. When I got my M17, I figured I would have a multi-toned gun. But I would rather have contrasting colors than clashing colors. So I got a black gun and switched out the grip module to one in Coyote. Then I got a Sig-branded retention holster in Olive Green. The whole (3-color) combination matches my Camo web gear nicely.
