Anyone know what the status of this model is as far as Beretta goes? I understand they are no longer manufactured but was this a temporary halt or has it been phased out for good?

I’d prefer a new one but I’m aware that there were a bunch of nice LE trade in available a short time ago but those have all dried up except for the bottom of the barrel.

Anyone else make a 32ACP in 12 shot currently?

No, not being made. Get the LEO trade-in. You familiar with Mosin Crate? If anybody can did up a new supply, he can. You just have to be ready to buy when he starts taking orders. And I do mean ready!! En punto!!

Never heard of him until you mentioned but thanks. I now have the website in my rotation to keep tabs on.

You have to sign up for the email alerts. You literally will have overnight only to decide whether you want to buy what's being offered before he starts taking orders, and he's sold out within a minute.

Beretta 81 is a fun pistol. I scooped up one of the surplus pistols last year and am glad I did. Gunbroker should still have plenty, they aren’t most folks’ first choice for SHTF/panic buying owing to the many myths about the cartridge. 12+1 FMJ should do everything you need.

Some of these or similar .380s showed up for sale last year.Th rumor was that they were still made in Europe some had been sent here. I tried to find out abou them through Beretta's media representative who in accord with her standard practice, didn't bother to answer. Shame thing when I inquired about their CX4 carbine. The employees are apparently Too Important to be bothered.

They made a special run of model 81fs' a couple of years ago, they were expensive but I bought one anyway. Lovely little pistol to shoot.

Just guessing, but Bersa probably does.

The model 81 pistols that were imported last year were one of the best surplus deals in a long time. Prior to that 81s were rare and selling for around $600.

Bersa has made a single stack 32acp. Top is the CZ83, middle is the Bersa Thunder, bottom is a Beretta 81FS, all three in 32acp. Also have a Sig Sauer P230 in 32 acp.

The magazine in the Bersa is a 380 mag but functions fine. I have two of the factory 10 round mags that do extend down a bit further than the one pictured.

The styling and function of the 80 series Beretta are very good. The da trigger is quite functional and pleasant unlike many/most da/sa semi autos.
There are a lot of them in the market. I recommend that you acquire the real deal rather than getting an xyz that's "something like" a Cheetah. IMG_0076.jpg

My Browning BDA, and Beretta 81BB, 84BB, and 85(?) are among the last pistols I would ever sell or trade off. They look and shoot great.

Key word there is had. The market was flooded with Israeli surplus High Powers a short time back too. All gone.

There are some Beretta 80 series pistols left , but most importers are out.
Supply and demand.

Completely discontinued, permanently.

Beretta is deciding to focus on their modern line of polymer striker fired guns.

More than they were when they first showed up, but still a good value for the quality you get.
Beretta pedigree and quality for $339? Good value.
Yep.
But Classic Firearms has (had?) the same pistol for $209.99,,,

Aarond

.
They have a .380 for $379.99, but no .32s.

Mosin Crate just released their latest hot buy alert of a half dozen 84-BB's in .380 ACP for $449, which will be available for purchase tomorrow at 10:00 AM EST, and which will all be sold by 10:01 AM EST. So if you're interested, OP, jump on it now.
