Discovered that I trimmed some cases to 1.725" instead of the correct trim-to-length of 1.750"

Should I scrap them or will I be ok? Loading moderate 55 grain loads for AR.

If you have plenty on hand that are within specs. (1.760-1.730"), then I would put them to the side, they can still be trimmed down and reformed for 300 Blk.

Edited my mistaken specs.

No problem at all. Load them and shoot them. If you reload 223/5.56 brass long enough you will find factory brass that is as short as 1.745 and they have been shot out of a gun without any issues.

If you are going for precision loads then keep them separate but for range plinking, blasting away they will work fine.

I'd be OK loading them, my only caution would be if you intend to crimp... those shorter cases may have to be set aside and crimped separately after a small readjustment of the crimp die.
