Even in the late 70's the ladies at the cornerr market would sell us all the 22's, shotgun shells and Copenhagen a kid could buy. When we hit 15 beer was ok too.Around 1963 I would go to the Western Auto store and buy .22 shorts for $0.39, and nobody questioned why an 11 year old was buying ammo. Oh those were the days my friends!!
