I picked this up a few weeks back. As ugly as it is, they are extremely well built and attention to detail and refinement are incredible. While the lower half is basically a 1911, the upper assembly is completely different. The design is that of a roller delay blowback. This one has a fixed 6" barrel. The trigger is light and crisp.

Korth didn't build many of these and I'm not sure if they're even still in production. This example was built in 2014.

Enjoy the pics. Anybody have one of these?

Just a few days ago I was looking for and watching some videos of this gun on youtube. Here in Italy very few must have arrived in .45ACP and I think even less in 9x21 IMI. Official Korth importer continues to import Korth revolvers but PRS is no longer present in their catalog. I think it is a fantastic gun with spectacular finishes as highlighted in your beautiful photos. The delay blowback system is like the one on the Heckler & Koch P9S, right? Thanks for sharing another amazing piece of your stunning collection.

Yes, my friend. Its similar to the HK P9S and Korriphila HSP

No I don't believe Korth is building them any longer. Not many were made.

I should like it, I really should! The lines are fantastic, the workmanship is fantastic, the basic shape is exactly what I see in my head when I think about what Id WANT a 1911esk gun to look like.....but the gap between the barrel weight and slide/dustcover.....breaks up my appreciation.....
Anway my aesthetic senses aside, fantastic pistol congratulations on getting one!

I wasn't looking at the line... it doesn't look like a parting line anyway. I was looking at the textured surfaces either side of it. Kinda rough... in the pic anyway.
That’s by design to give steel under the trigger on the trigger guard a little traction.

It only looks that way because it’s zoomed in 10x. You can’t see it otherwise, but you can feel it.

I agree that it's by design because the inside of the trigger guard is like glass. But traction...

It’s to give it a little texture is all. Many high end 1911’s have their trigger guards finely checkered. I have a couple in fact. Same idea

All the parts are cut from billet steel.

I saw a video on Youtube a year ago of what was purported to be Korth PRS Gen 2. Hopefully it's the same quality.

Definitely grail gun for me. I tried to get nighthawk to import me one and not a very nice email came back. Emailed korth and never heard back

I can't make it out; is that factory test target from 50 yards?!?!

Wowser.

Brian,

is there an alignment pin on the weight of the PRS? What I dislike about the P9S Sport is, that if the weight is removed and reinstalled the front sight can easily be canted in a slightly different position because reinstallation is done by eyeballing. I marked the frame and weight with lines that need to line up to keep the same POI. There used to be a distance tool available but that only worked right with the old trigger guard without the spur.

The Nills are nice but are also bigger than the standard plastic grips. Pachmayrs didn't work well on my gun and interfered with the cocking lever. They needed some trimming to allow function.

I believe so Andy. I haven’t messed with it yet. I took some pics and put it away. I need to spend some time figuring the whole thing out. It’s an interesting pistol for sure.
