I hear you and certainly understandable. I'm hoping the 5" model is around that price, but God only knows.
That said, I can't justify Barrett money for a Barrett. I like high quality stuff for my money, not plastic rifles. I do find shooting 50BMG fun in a Barrett semi auto, but not something I'd spend that kind of money on.
