Is it possible to determine the approx vintage of a Colt .45 mag, from the style of the lettering on the mag?
The other three pictures are of an unknown (to me) probably .32 cal pistol mag. Can anyone make an ID of what gun it goes to?

Don't know about the Colt mag question, but the '.32' mag is almost certainly for the French Model 35A pistol in 7.65mm.

The first M1911 magazines were completely tempered before being blued. The following blueing was taking some of the temper out of the top of the magazine, so to fix the problem, they began tempering the top portion by dipping it into the tempering solution after the blueing. This began the " two-tone" magazine and was used through WW11. During wartime the magazine had a lanyard loop. There are copies out there that work, although they are not original. All Colt manufactured M1911 and M1911A1 magazines had a " . " dot like ".45 " stamped on it.

So, Unklebuck, please confirm: the one I have depicted - without the "." dot before the "45" - would be some sort of aftermarket mag, not a Colt mag of any vintage?

Not a Colt manufactured magazine of ANY vintage.

Or USGI.
