Ammo out this morning

I cry for anyone desperate enough to pay ~$0.79 per round for 9mm FMJ.

Perhaps its a good sign when over-priced ammo remains in stock, and available.

Went by my local Academy yesterday and they had a pretty good selection of 9mm, 380, 223 and .45 in that Browning, laquer coated steel case stuff. To my surprise it was not flying off the shelf. The .45 was 19.99 for a box of 50. Not a bad price but I don't shoot that stuff in my firearms. They also had quite a few new arrivals in the pistol case. It was pretty bare last week. I did well and left empty handed...

Yesterday at my local Big 5, there was a line of people waiting 40 minutes for the store to open.

Yes, sadly, I was number 9, as the manager was handing out number system after letting the first 5 into the store. Looking for ammo sucks. No more of that for me. Not worth the wait for one box.
The line was about 20 odd people, some new people who don't even live around here. Everyone is still scrounging for ammo, primers, powder, etc, etc...
