What was buried?

What the hell do you want? They said they were in a doggone duffle-bag!:D

My Drill Sergeant told me those things could protect up to and possibly including a distant nuclear strike..... Or so memory serves.;)

Todd.
Well wife has cousin in AZ and her next trip out I plan to give her a shovel. If not guns maybe gold? Till the mention of duffle bag (sea bag for Marines) I have no clue where mine ever ended up? I do figure if I planned to bury anything of value I would at least pre treat the stuff.

There has to be an interesting story behind that find. I would have to get a buddy with a metal detector to come over and spend some time in my yard.

Too bad about all of the rust.

Must be my upbringing... I wouldn't touch that junk - and I wouldn't welcome the attention that goes with the find either...

I'm no angel, just a retired cop who knows that something like that might just be the tip of something ugly.... Imagine you've just bought a property and find out that the shooters weren't the only things buried nearby...

Was thinking the same thing. Sicario came to mind too. Hows the house smell. :p

The way they were buried, it looks more like panic and/or abandonment than something that would be recovered.

Maybe they found some bags of lime in the shed also! Hm...

One other very unpleasant possibility would be if something high value was also on site... and the folks that concealed it are certain you found and did not report it along with those weapons...

Every now and then real life can be very much like a bad movie plot. Like I said if it were me I wouldn’t want the attention...

I’ve actually been on the scene of several “Miami special” dope deals years ago during the cocaine cowboy era with very bad outcomes. The Miami Special... no one brings powder... no one brings money... both sides come armed intending to rob the other... and so it begins... like something out of a Tarantino movie.

Dopers, human traffickers, Scorpion Militia.... impending divorce?

Who knows?

I focus on Mr Precious Sorace using the word *disturbing* in the first sentence and the neighbor deeming it *nerve-wracking*.

What a couple of petunias! Or; "C'mon, gimme a break, man!":neener:

Todd.

I'd find that a little nerve wracking if I found that on or near my property. Not because of the guns themselves but because of who might have left them there. Whoever they were they were up to no good and they might come back.

Guessing whoever put them there wrote them off long ago or is no longer around to have tried to retrieve them.
Or maybe they don't own a boat and were too far from water for "they fell overboard" to be plausible.

Now I want to hit.my yard with a metal detector.. :) Course gulf coast TX soil would not preserve as well as AZ's.

Shame they will likely all be destroyed. They appear to be save-able for the most part.
