Several years ago I looked long and hard for a 7mm Mashburn Super Magnum. Getting a chamber cutter was the most difficult part. Dies and cases were available one way or another. If Warren Page could use it worldwide to take over 460 game animals, it was good enough for me.
Alas, my search ended and I made a 7mm Weatherby Magnum on a VZ-24 action. It is lightening death on White tail deer with the 150 grain Swift Scirocco doing the work.
What’s the specific rifle, shotgun or pistol you’re seemingly always seeking?

I have gathered pretty much all of the ones that have interested me. Only one I haven’t come across yet is the Beeman imported/KricoModel 340 ST Kricotronic.

Not holding my breath though Beeman was the exclusive importer for the two years they did and Robert Beeman told me they only imported maybe 10 of them, though he could have been talking about the more rare centerfire ones.

I then went to the mfg. and confirmed the same. I did find it interesting that they contacted Remington among others and no deal was made, then they designed and built their failed EtronX rifles that required special primers/ammunition.

“Dear Morris,

there was only a small number of this rifles built in the early 80th.
As KRICO was not strong enough to penetrate the UIT-Match rifle business we stopped the project.
In the mean time we offered our know how to REMINGTON, ANSCHÜTZ, WALTHER and more companies in this business, but these are to conservative to see the advantages of this firing system.
We are still looking for a potential partner.

Best regards

3"-3.5" K or N frame smiths, though I don't have a single one.
SMLE that headspaces properly, though I don't own a single one
SMLE that's been sporterized, that headspaces properly, though I don't own a single one
SW40F that's so cheap I can't say no, though I don't own a single one
4 5/8" 3-screw blackhawks (or whatever that length actually is for Rugers), though I don't own a single one
Ruger MKI, MKII, or MKIII grip frames/lowers for less than the cost of a complete pistol
Replica 1849 not made by Uberti, with 5 or 6" barrel, though I don't have a single one.
Remington 1875 or 1890 replicas, though I don't have a single one.
S&W Schofield or Number 3 replicas, though I don't have a single one.
1860 Army replica with fluted cylinder though I don't have a single one.

Top 5, in no particular order:

1) Colt SAA (or a reasonable facsimile of), in .45 Colt and with a 4 5/8" barrel.
2) Colt Model 1908 Pocket Hammerless.
3) Colt New Frontier .22 in .22LR/.22 Magnum with a 4 3/8" barrel.
4) Colt Gold Cup National Match in 9mm.
5) Colt Gold Cup in .38 Super.

Hmmm, I sensing there's some sort of trend here but I can't quite put my finger on it...

Hi...
Always looking for another Dan Wesson revolver particularly in .41Magnum or .414SuperMag.
Looking for a Virginian Dragoon in .45Colt...had a chance to buy one some years ago and didn't pull the trigger. Regret that decision.
Looking for a nice lever action rifle in .41Magnum.
Always interested in a Sako rifle with a nice wooden stock...have a couple, would like to have a couple more. Never find a nice one when I have money to spend on such things.

Lately I have to developed a "need" for a Quigley style rifle in .45/70. Don't know why...have no real "need" for one, but I would like to have one for range use and to play with a new to me caliber.

Also interested in a nickel plated SAA clone with a 7-1/2" barrel in .44Special or .45Colt.
Been looking for a while now but can't seem to be able to find one and no local shop is taking orders for firearms that they can't guarantee they can get.

An M1A. Trained on the M-14 in BCT in 1967, first CF rifle I ever fired. My idea of a battle rifle.
An S&W 5 screw M&P. My idea of a classic revolver.

My M1A is a fine hunting rifle as well, a bit heavy for long walking days but mine is accurate and very comfortable to shoot all day long.

I’m always on the lookout for:
1. Pre-64 Win 94s
2. Savage 24s
3. Pre-lock Smith & Wessons particularly J and N frames.
4. Colt Woodsmen

Of course, if the price is not right I’ll pass it up but the hunt is part of the fun.

I have several Colt Government models and variants. My carry pistol is a Colt (LW) Commander in .45 ACP.

What I really would like is a commercial, pre 70 series Government Model - preferably made prior to WW2 - with a factory nickel finish in good shape. At a price I could 'reasonably afford'. (Not selling the house.)

And I'm always looking for complete, unrusted WW1 rifles.

Nothing special but I’ve been looking for a long time for a nice blued Rossi lever-action in .357mag with a 16” barrel.
Found and bought one yesterday in near-new condition at a very reasonable price. And this was at a crappy little gun show where most everything else was ridiculously priced. Which just goes to show that you never know when lightning will strike.

I have one of those, it’s a great little gun. Congrats on your find .
(It’s here with its 16” brethren in .45 Colt and a Win 94 in .44)

I’m always looking for, but never finding ones I can reasonably afford, a DW .32 H&R and/or a 4” S&W model 57 .41.

Oh, and maybe a Rem 1100 in 28 gauge ;).

Stay safe.
