And this is why you can't have nice things

The only time you would ever catch me without a knife is getting on or off an airplane. I don’t even lend my brothers my knives. I have gutted 2 deer for friends after they forgot knives. Plus I gave them so much grief they were never without their knives while hunting with me again.

Looks like that famous painting that a woman tried to retouch and it came out a cartoon like mess. I did lend a knife at a match where there was a knife precursor to the gun fight. A friend didn't bring a knife - shame. Always bring a knife to a gun fight! I find my EDC flashlight and knife used more than my gun! Packages and cars that fizzle in the night, can't shoot them.

What's wrong? He put a cool recurve on the blade, and now it has a custom compound grind. I don't see a problem here.
He went full kukri with it! :what:

I would hope so

You can, judgement may ensue.

That's so bad. I do lend out a knife if I need to. It's called the glock 78 field thingy. If it gets hurt it's kind of hard to tell, more of a sharpened prybar than anything. I also use it to dismantle old furniture and throw at tree stumps.

That's how knifemakers are born. In 5+ years his works may be selling beyond Loveless, Osborne...you have an early prototype. :D

Those cheap knives laying around? I keep some in my truck and jeep and 4 wheeler tool kit to loan out.

I was at a car parts store to buy some windshield wiper tubing. (You all know where this is going) The kid behind the counter didn't have a box cutter to cut rubber tubing. I offered him my opened Case swayback thinking, how could he hurt my knife cutting rubber tubing?
He put the blade edge to his thumb and started sawing away.
Just don't lend your knife to anyone you don't know. Trust me.

The only reason for someone to borrow anything is so they can ruin it or lose it. I've gotten pretty good at telling people no. Try telling your boss they can't borrow something. That's always fun.

I don't even like handing a knife over to someone to "look at." They are likely to do something stupid like throwing it.

Wow! That hurts just reading it.

I lend mine all the time, but never the expensive ones. I don’t need to borrow what I already have.

Never lend something you can’t replace or to someone who can’t afford it to begin with.

Usually I just hand them a screwdriver...
It's what they really need anyway.
I never loan anything. I never give someone something that God didn't give them more sense than.

Give him a paring knife, the 50 cent type. I never lend out anything with a small engine to power it. Lending= giving it away since it;'s never returned, completely broken and lastly they broke it and tell "you" that "you can fix it" cheaply though it won't look as good as before they got their hands on it.
I just say well if you don't have one buy one if you need it so much or do without. I make it a policy of not lending and therefore keeping good relationships with acquaintances.
