One I let go of a long time ago. I didn't exactly steal it but I felt the price was fair. I'm happy and that's all that counts. While I don't think nickel 4" 57s are rare, you don't see them everyday. And it's unfired since leaving the plant.
I went with a friend back in the late '70s looking for a 6" 29. Back then they were nearly impossible to find but he went home with a new, in a wooden box, 6" nickel 57. Beautiful and great shooting handgun. Glad you found that. Now enjoy.
Wow! That is a beautiful revolver.
Reunited, as in, you sold it a long time ago and recently got it back? What a great story.
I traded a "dime a dozen" AR15 for a 4 inch model 57 a couple years ago. Mine is obviously refinished but has become one of my favorite revolvers and beautiful in its own right. But not even close to what you have. That is Stunning.
Can you tell I love 57's. Lol
Had a blued Model 57 many years ago. Got it used from a friend of a friend who did a beautiful job with the trigger.
Sold it when I needed the money. No regrets but would sure love to have that one back.
