Met a gentleman by chance several months ago. Seems that someone in his wife’s family had passed away and left some guns. No one in the family wanted any of the guns except him and he only wanted the few autos and a couple of common long guns like a Remington 1100’s etc. he was trying to sell the S&W Revolvers but was having trouble getting what he thought was a fair price. He had tried a few local gun and Pawn Shops and felt insulted at the offers. I checked them out and made an offer telling him up front that I was going to price them based on flipping them with a little profit, but might keep a couple. After a few months of thinking about it, he decided to let me have 4. Might get a few more later. Got 2 big ones and 2 little ones. Big ones are 6” Model 586 & 686 both no dash. Both in great condition with original grips. Little ones are both Mod 36. The blue is a dash 2 that appears to be unfired or at the worst, fired a very few times. The nickel is a no dash with a nice set of Presentation type grips. It’s very nice but has a few handling marks and grips don’t fit perfect but feel great. Darn sure don’t need any more guns right now but my excuse is “an offer is an offer” and got to keep my word.
