Classy concealed carry

I got another PPK/S to add to my collection. I know it's a bit over the top, but I like it. It's chambered in .380, although I prefer them in .32. Still, it will be fine for BBQ's and when I wanna dress up on Saturday night to profile and impress the ladies.

I carry a Colt Series 70 brushed nickel. Holster wear adds even more class.View attachment 985143
I, too, have one of these.

Best I have been able to find out, these were "strike built" guns. Some sources claim they are Custom Shop finished; others "Management" finished. The look, with blued parts on the electroless nickle finish, is definitely unique. The Colt medallion Pachmayr Signature grips suggest parts drawn out of the CCS supplies for such things.
They are found with boxes that never claim a finish (and some stating "blue"). The EN finish was a custom one at Colt, which lends credence to the notion that the Custom Shop had something to so with their origins.
Saw an Officer's in matching appearance, once, at a gun show, and passed on it for thinking $650 was too high (idiot me).

I've never had to swing a hammer 8 hours straight for work,
I have, which is why I (still) have a selection of weights, and lengths, and types of hammer. I tried an "anti vibration" handled framer for a while, but never noticed much difference from my hickory-handled Stanley framer. Senco is the real answer for all day every day.

Just looking for guns that would make a stylish concealed carry piece (I know that’s not the important thing for concealed carry but I’m just curious what other firearms are out there that I don’t know about). Think Walther ppk or bersa thunder style. If there’s any like those but in 9x19 I’d especially love to hear about those.
You’ll probably get lots of grief on here from the broad masses, for daring to say out loud what we among the gunforum elite have long known to be true:

CCW is for dandies.

So do it up!

Yep, same here. I have many hammers, but only two Estwings currently. One hand sledge with a polyglass shaft and the aforementioned Estwing framer with head to toe steel and rubber handle.

The real point being that there's nothing wrong with using a nice tool (handgun) as long as it does the job as expected.

I have zero problem with people carrying something that’s beautiful as well as functional. I don’t care for the (in my opinion) deliberate ugliness of many modern guns. I get that it’s a tool, but it’s also a personal possession one carries on one’s person. I wish there was a Ruger LCP with an alloy frame, wood grips, gold wire inlay, and full coverage factory engraving ;)

I know it’s a tool and may get beat up, but I want it to look good new, and even better with “patina.”

Mrs Rembrandt's style for her CCW was to add a feminine touch with different grips.

If I were to imagine myself dressed in a white dinner jacket as 007, cruising around in my Aston Martin DB5.....probably would go with a Browning Renaissance High Power in shoulder rig. After all, nothing but the finest for her Majesty's Secret Service.

To stay with the spirit of the thread - Classy, fancy, beautiful firearms are revolvers in leather holsters  (ok, maybe 1911s are too)

In the spirit of the actual tool conversation - I made my living carving stone and most of my tools had some sort of scroll work, engraving or carvings on them. Better work is done with tools you are proud to own. Plus they are less likely to be borrowed and not returned.
Every hammer over 5 pounds had steel handles, there is a practical reason for that.

BTW, there are some beautiful pistols in this thread.

I haven't read the whole thread, but for "classy" CCW, I'd have to go with either a 1911 or a BHP.

Four pistols leap to (my otherwise empty) mind...

Top of the heap:
Helmut Weldle’s masterpiece, the HK P7M8 ... adorned with Nill Griffe panels & a Lou Alessi-made CQC-S &/or Matt Del Fatti ISP-4 to call home.

Runners up:
- Walther PP Super (9x18 Ultra/Police) & especially one with unicorn-rare, factory wood grip panels.

- Colt 1911 (.38 Super)

- Belgian Browning Hi-Power

I carry IWB wearing overly large shirts not tucked in.
For me, classy does not factor into this equation in any manner.

Life's too short to not have at least one classy carry gun! :D

Admittedly, I also am very pragmatic about carry guns. I don't select them for their looks, just their practicality.

I have several classy, very nice guns, but I only carry guns that I don't care if they get scratches, dings, and holster wear.
